So, my intended first week of my marathon training did not start well. I injured my shoulder (probably climbing) and was unable to lift my arm higher than a few inches before the pain was too bad. Even gentle running caused inflammation in the shoulder which then trapped a nerve resulting in my entire arm becoming numb.
On the Doctor’s advice I had myself almost two weeks of rest and it seems to have worked. Things are starting to feel a lot better and I’ve regained most of my range of movement.
Because of this there’s no point in me doing a full week’s recap as I only managed an easy 6 mile run on Thursday night.
So, slightly behind schedule, the coming week will see me actually start my training…if I can manage to avoid injury for the next few days. I’ll have a full week’s recap up on the site on Monday.
